The Taliban Are Aware of Some of the Shortcomings of What They've Done.
There are various figures in the talibot, and some are more ideological. Some of their people would go over to isis if they betray what some of the more conservative people consider as their ideology. So even though it is not in any way a democratic institution, its politics are taking place out of sight. And i find that if you are frank about why you have come and what the point is, and you phrase your question frankly, but diplomatically, that people will often engage.
