Is There an Open Cluster or a Closed Cluster?

Scientists aren't sure why these blue stragglers are sticking around. One idea is that they might be new combinations of old stars. We've identified more than a thousand open clusters just in our galaxy, but we think there are lots and lots more. And so i think these clusters are super fascinating because they sort of like little many sub galaxies within the galaxy. They give y clues, like the texture of the galaxy and its particular history that is so cool.
