The Conflict Between Individual Rights and the National Interest
I find this a profound sort of excerpt because he arrives at multiple truths within this passage. While in the literal sense of the term it seems that he is being anti-national and yet this shows his deploy to the country is concerned for the well being of the people my patriotism even. I think what characterized that European or Western idea of nationalism and still does in that conceptualization is that it is about a national community claiming superiority over others. In this claim of superiority lies the you know the seed of danger,seed of evil if you have right so that's where it is according to Tagore.
