The Origins of Gnosticism

In the ancient world, there was a kind of an idea that just floating around in the milieu at that time. Some might think that Gnosticism drew on certain Jewish texts to present this particular wisdom. The mediatorial figures all seem to be in one way shape or form created or subordinate. But it's still by and large held by most scholars who say there is more of an organic link between what we find in Paul and the doctrine of the Trinity.
