The Self Is Socially Constructed
Hume famously said he couldn't find an enduring self, though other people had told him that must be there. He looked for experience to back this up, and all he could find was like fleeting impressions. So what you're saying is that Hume's introspection doesn't reveal an impression of a self as he would put it. There may be one, but you just haven't got the evidence, and you've got no right to assert that there is.
