What Is the Wisdom of Demetrius?
Alexander Epiphanes, the son of Atticus, he enters into an alliance with the king of Egypt by marrying Cleopatra. Alexander also has kind of the support of the Roman Senate at this point. Demetrius is making a hard, hard play to get Jonathan and the Jews on his side. He tried to essentially bribe the Jews to be on his side against Alexander.
