"I was like there's a few lovely surprises I'm getting the copy in Japanese. Getting a royalty check is weird when you don't think of yourself as an author and you also didn't write the book for the money then you start getting these checks every six months from your publisher," he says. "When I was growing up in Australia it's almost like a David Attenborough style and you meet me and I sound Australian and you wouldn't be any wiser" He adds: "Like most people I've only really known you from an authorial I made that word up."
