The Power of Connection
There are neurological and anthropological reasons why we gravitate towards people that remind us of ourselves. A game-changing moment came for me early on in my career when I was interviewing a high-profile actress who shall remain nameless. We were able to have a deep and thoughtful conversation that was actually enjoyable for us both. And she even thanked me at the end. It shows what can happen when you don't give up on an uncomfortable connection, how powerful it can be for both people.
