i i believe that explanatory circles are impossible, so you might be worried about an explanatory loop his case. So jones decides to sit, and that explains god's pre punishing him,. And then those mental states explain his deciding to sit, at least partially. You know, he was in the frame of mind he was because he spent time jail. That would explain why the jones case seems so strange.
