Movie Review - Mind Game
I think that Yuasa just has a grasp on the emotion of his characters, so the plot of mind game is, there's this doofus guy who meets a crush. I'm like, he dies, and he goes to heaven, and he meets God. He doesn't die in just any old way. Yes, he does. And then they spend the rest of the movie in the belly of the whale. Everything and nothing, and just it's this nonstop, like, sensory overload. There's a montage in the movie where you realize, oh, this is not like a flash forward,. This is like an anything could happen if you go down these paths.
