The idea that the United States is a welcoming and open society has a long history, but I'm pretty sure it's easy to lose. Antony: Let us all do our best to keep that alive when we see people who are new to our communities. Politics is very anti-immigrant, but it doesn't dictate who we are or who you are as a people. That defines what a society is like much more than politics headlines.
