The Importance of Friendship in a Preterm Baby

Jayce came to the NICU he was a couple months premature. The more I took care of him the more I started to fall in love with him. He had trouble with reef luxe which is common in pre-meas so he wasn't retaining any nutrition. With this he finally started to grow and heal but he still had so many obstacles. At this point they started planning for where he would go on discharge because he was getting healthier. There were no family members that could take him. They started talking about him going to a long term home for children with medical needs, like a nursing home for kids. And that just broke my heart I could not imagine him going there.
