Pico's story reminded me of that own time in my own career when i was a very young traveller. And the encounters i had with strangers at the ends of the subway lines, and i'm talking about places that were no more than two miles from my apartment in brooklyn lake. When you move through a new environment, wearing that kind of openness on your face and on your body, i think people respond to it. I don't think we realize we're doing it.
