History of the Hittite Empire
Among the tablets of the hittite empire, it was discovered that troy had been involved in conflicts over a few decades. The layer also shows signs of destruction through fire, and is stated to have happened somewhere around 11 80 b c. So far it seems troy was preparing for and under siege for a period before the city fell sometime around 11 80. Also in these records, a name has been pointed to which refers to the regions that the mysonines occupied. From references with this name, te tablets then reveal to us that the misonines were in contact with the hittites for at least a couple of centuries through trade and diplomacy.
