Freud's Theory of Memory
Sally Kohn: Freud's theory of memory is that there are three, we remember for three different reasons. We forget either because something's indifferent or it just fits in with the rest of our psyche,. Or we repress it because it's too traumatic, or it doesn't make an impression. She says when you can remember something innocuous that you shouldn't be able to remember, that's probably a screen memory and you should pay attention to it.
