The Problem With Anti-Semitism in the Gospel of John
Gospel of John is a deeply semitic book. When it's read outside of its Jewish context, it can easily be misread in that way. There are particular passages when the crowd says his blood be upon us and our children. That's a blood curse that they put on themselves. And clearly John sees that as ironic.
