The Gerasic Park Syndrome
The woolly rhinoceros was very common in the ice age of Siberia that we don't find in north america. One out of every couple hundred fossils or maybe five and one is a is a carnivore so when they found the mummified lion cubs in Siberia a couple years ago that's pretty remarkable. We need to take another short break when we come back i will tentatively raise the question of the gerasic park syndrome can we recreate megafauna like the mammoth using the dna and the technologies that we now are beginning to be able to apply to such species?
