Time is an intrinsic essence of the universe, our birthright even in the sense that we're all born with a lifespan. So how did time become a tool for rulers? And then I wanted to get behind why do those humans make them? Right. We've been talking about political rule, but some of the earliest clocks that you write about were linked to faith and were created by and for the church. Our concept of faith and the universe of divinity and awe and the links between all of those.
