The idea of holy envy is something that goes back to christer stendall, and hats been inspiring to me for many years. And i have noticed that joseph smith, in his ownn of restoration, practised a kind of eclectic eclecticismd believe that the restoration was a gathering up of all that was good and beautiful scattered throughout the world. That's been my own experience too, that learning about the good and beautiful and other faith traditions hasn't weakened me. It's made me a better follower of christ.
