Ivy League Style in Japan
When Ivy was introduced to Japan in the 1960s, Professor Masafumi Mandan had this idea of Ivy as a very solid, clear, defined fashion style. According to Kensukeshi's rules, you couldn't just casually buy some Ivy clothes. But buying an entirely new wardrobe is sort of a pricey risk. The early adopters of Ivy in Japan were really those who could afford it.
