Is There Just Too Much High Modernism?
In the US, it often feels as though people's idea that their sense of like the externalities they must be protected from is very wide and very expansive. In Asia, for example, there is just not the cultural idea that no one can make a sound or do anything around you that could possibly offend you in some way. And so I think it's not just the sort of structural high modernist governance side. I think there's also some cultural aspects here too.
