The Invention of Gender
John Moneys invented the concept of gender in 1955. He worked at Johns Hopkins with Joan and John Hampson, who are also psychologists. The idea was to provide a medical solution for sexual abnormality that doesn't exist anymore,. There's no medical justification now for saying you have to look like this ideal type of a man and a woman.
