The James Webb Space Telescope, the JWST, has been used to look at an exoplanet 40 light years away. The results reveal there's really not much of an atmosphere there if there is one at all. And how do they actually know that there's no atmosphere there now? This just batters the closest planet and stripped away the atmosphere.
