The Importance of Arrays in Radio Astrophysics

The DSA 2000 is a 2000 element interferometer that's going to open up possibilities for multi messenger astrophysics as well, but also propuls are timing. And so being able to use an instrument like that is going to be enormously helpful too. All of these next generation sort of proposals and things that are in the works are going to be just extremely impactful. But one of the things that strikes me about this is you're talking about arrays of telescopes. I think that with the very large array and especially with with Alma in the Southern Hemisphere, we've seen the power of arrays.
