The Importance of Primogeniture

Primogeniture had to have been abolished in order for the Jen's to sort of be established, right? And then another thing happens within the home is the clients, the servants who existed as a sort of subordinate class within the family structure become free. This happened throughout Greece and Italy. So by the time the clients are attaining their freedom, it's not as if they'd been like taken into slavery and living memory or even in any recent ancestors like living memory.
