Aristotle's Analysis by Principles, Not Elements

There are two kinds of analysis, according to Kenneth Schmidz. One he calls analysis by principles and the other he called analysis by elements. Aristotle's basically trying to deal with the problem of change. How can we say that there's a stable reality in a world that's in flux? That's the very general problem.
