The Phase Conundrum in EQs
The whole phase conundrum is always kind of fascinating in bizarre and Chad Blake is constantly going on about flipping the phase when you're working with EQs. Sometimes you might prefer the sound of a flip phase when two signals are combined. I'm assuming that's because every time a stem is made it's also running through that master bus process. If you want to for example reduce the level of one sound you just need to invert its phase which would allow you to kind of negatively impact its volume.
