The Soviets Voted to Form a Coalition Government With the Liberals

The leader of the soviet lost some optimism during the april crisis. He gave a speech where he despaired at the chances of the russian people peacefully coming together, rather than violently breaking apart. In fact, insuring the constituent assembly wasn't put off indefinitely was one of their key demands for joining a coalition government. They hoped this would offer the necessary legitimacy to the government that would get them all through to the constt an assembly.
