The Relationship Between Hormones in the Anterior Pituitary Glands
The anterior pituitary gland releases a number of hormones that affect other endocrine glands throughout the body. It also has direct effects on certain systems like the growth hormones and prolactin, which promotes milk production by the mammary gland. There is a negative feedback mechanism that controls the production of thyroid hormones in invertebrates.
