The Gene for Being Selfish
The title of Dawkins' book implies that each gene acts in a selfish way for that gene, he says. But it's not about that at all: Genes don't make us selfish; they make us cultural and connected to one another. In the case of Jengus Khan, who raped so many women, there are probably more people on earth related to him than anybody else. He created a series of bargains with warriors in the steps of Mongolia that enabled them to get assets and resources needed to invade other cities.
