i've always wondered what percentage of human beings at any point and time actually really do have a sense of their identity. We are a constellation of people, and at some point you lose the thread. And there is so much in this meritinga point that is always arbitrary. It has not been but like a century or less that people of anglo saxon descent considered that they shared a racial identity with mediterranean whites.
