Rail Derailments Getting Less Common
I was stunned to read that our nation's railway system is still stuck with post Civil War era technology. And yet, rail derailments have actually gotten significantly less common over the last 20 years. We had about a third less per mile that these trains travel in terms of having derailments. I think it's part of a larger systemic issue, which is we have a hard time putting people first.
