I think what you're saying especially about Skinnamarink is interesting because yeah we're in this time where to get a film off the ground and actually made through a formal channel is becoming like almost impossible at this point. There's been an extreme kind of democratization of visibility and also democratization of access to the skills of filmmaking so it feels like if someone is able to take kind of those alternative channels and get a film made then are we really actually in this crisis? I think that the studios are producing this sort of monoculture but because theaters themselves seem to be dying out even these kind of multiplexes um non-just independent theaters it feels like maybe the democratization of cinema
