The Promised Land

Derek Jeter wasn't Derek Jeter because he got an opportunity to play in Yankee Stadium. Jerry Rice did not play 20 years without running up that hill in the off season. We talk about the promise and if you remain faithful, God's going to do it as if there's nothing for you to do between now and then. When we think about the promised land, this picture of success, we romanticize it to the point that we take out how much work was involved.
