The City's Lawsuit Over the Collapse of the Hard Rock Building
After the collapse, multiple victims joined together to sue five of the companies associated with the building. The area around it was effectively shut down and closed for two years as the demolition of the building was continuously delayed. In September 2022, AP News reported that a mediator had finally been assigned to the victim's lawsuit to begin negotiating settlements. But so far, it definitely feels like they have evaded all the responsibility.
