The first etherlink was shipped in september 19 82, connected ib personal computers together on an ether net. The problem was there weren't any i b m personal computers. So we started selling a trial kit, three noed network,. Three cards that you put into th option slots and a cable to connect the three machines together. And then the customers all came back saying, work's just like you promised - it's just not useful.
