The Decadence of the PMC
I don't like the PMC thesis for a lot of reasons, one of which is that everybody who uses it both expands it, horizonally and backwards in the time. The richest generation has the least degrees; you can't even talk about degrees off of wealth because the baby boomers have the few newest degrees. They're not running things and they're actually probably largely deep political. When I look at how many of the big families are actively super political, it's a remarkably small amount of them. It did make me feel really uncomfortable when you start talking like this. There's something to with the decadence, but you know, we're not talking about it in moral terms here
