The Book of Revelation Quotes Zechariah Again and Again
The book of Revelation begins to fit these pieces into the picture of the distant future or what we've come to call the end times, time when history reaches its countdown. There's a distinct change in style and content. No mention here of the temple or Joshua or the rubber bell. Even God's name changes. Throughout the first half of the book, God has been the Lord of hosts or Yahweh of Heaven's armies. But now he's just Yahweh. That's quite a different sort of feel. It's so different that some scholars say it must have been someone else who wrote this. Some scholars are very rigid in their ideas. They love taking a pair of scissors
