i prefer to admit that conscious experiences exist. And what we've been doing is a focus on explaining and predicting and controlling the properties of subjective experience in terms of mechanisms in the brain and the body. In physics, science has not told us why a universe exists in the first place. We don't really know what's out there. But it's a successful science because we can explain an many phenomena, we can predict what's going to happen, and we can control things. If we can do that with respect to the biological basis of conscious experience, we've done what a scientific research programm can reasonably be expected to do. i leave you with what davy charmers has called the
