Time restricted eating is a form of intermittent fasting. When you restrict your eating window to a shorter window, all your metabolic measurements go into the healthy range. Eating in opposition with your natural rhythm makes perfect sense. If you start eating at night, it's probably the most unhealthy thing you can do. You're basically trying to jump start a system that is at its most functional as possible.
