The US and the West Have Handled Sanctions on Russia in Light of Its Invasion of Ukraine
The IMF predicted at the start of this year that Russia's economy might even expand by a tiny amount. The issues are very hard and I don't think anybody really knows. My best guess is that there's a lot more pain in the Russian economy but less than expected. Sanctions just work much better when they are globally imposed, he says.
