The Benefits of Using AR to Layer Information on Top of Interfaces

The idea of contextual information while you're looking at exactly the thing you need it for is kind of the coolest part of it. It's where I think companies have been quietly spending a lot of money and we'll see the benefit from it on the other side. As designers, what do we design in this augmented reality, interface overlay best world that we've seen coming?
