The National Telegraph Act of 1866 - The Telephone

Alexander Graham Bell and Edison come together to invent what would be the telephone. All four of those inventions, broadband, telephone, sound recording and the electric power station are a result of this anti-monopoly struggle between Gordon and Gould that is direct result of National Telegraph Act of 1866. Now what about natural monopoly? Well, in January 1881, New York City wakes up to the discovery that J. Gould has taken over Western Union. And boy, oh boy, was that a shock because he's a rival, he's an outsider, but now he's assaulted the temple.
