Alva edison agrees with francis jal that this bull burned for more than forty hours. They will write their accounts in the twentieth century. But whether one or both versions are right, alva and his team have found that a carbonized cotton thread can make an electric light run for several hours. And the inventor concludes it will burn that number of hours. Now i know i can make it burn a hundred. If alva's right about making it run longer, then he, the wizard of men part, has truly defeated the dark of night.
