Elon Musk: A Role Model for Autism
Sarcasm is just one example of non literal language. We've got to be very careful that when we talk about autism and autistic people, we don't end up with a stereotype represented by Elon Musk. But you know what we should realize is that autistic, the autistic community is very diverse. So in many ways he doesn't represent the majority of autistic people. There's some autistic people have minimal language. They may have good intelligence, but they've got language disabilities. Some of them may be great at concrete type of pattern recognition,. like working in a bicycle shop, fixing bicycles. The thing that strikes you, especially these days is the diversity.
