The number of identity goals that you're going to be able to hold outside of being a parent and an adult child, might be very small. Instead of trying to cram more in or put more on your plate, what if you gave yourself permission to say these are the two identities I'm embodying right now? And then the only other thing that would go in that picture from my perspective would be self care because those are both caregiving.
