Carl Sargent's From the Ashes Line

There's so much power to these stories and these characters when you have a name put through them like Vekna. I understand why people hated from the ashes and that era because it was so different from their world of Greyhawk, but like to erase that seems silly to me. And then in third edition, they had the living Greyhawk, which we never played. It just seems flat to me. But I want to pause for a second because I actually learned some stuff about Carl Sargent who shepherded the from the ashes line. Super interesting dude. He also did night below, which I think is one of the greatest latter day D.A.D. Campaign boxes
