The Limits of Ketoacidosis - Higher Is Not Better
I think it's really important to say that higher is not better. We know that the anti-seizure effects are very pronounced when you get to like two, three and four,. So that's actually clinically that's great. And I do that on a daily basis, I don't feel too good because if you acutely elevate ketones in that context, then it becomes disruptive to metabolic physiology. It will increase your insulin and start kicking in some counter-regulatory mechanisms. For me, just getting to 1 million molar, to 1.5 is a nice safe range and I feel very comfortable in that context.
