When the state president called me as a bishop, I did let him know that I was also a full-time student and PhD student. He expressed that he understood both of those and that he had prayed and received this revelation. And what my family and I found throughout this experience was that the Lord was able to do with me in that calling what I couldn't have done myself without that calling.
