Pedro: We have reductionist experts who are planning these decisions without looking at the whole system. And another thing that I'm hearing is that optimizing for carbon reducing carbon in the transportation sector is not going to reduce our demand for a barrel of oil. As things get worse economically the vast majority of people won't be able to afford a car and so transporting humans from point A to point B will probably have to be done differently than internal combustion engines electric vehicles. It's going to have to be more buses trains bicycles and walking. What do you think about that?
